For an assignment in a life drawing class, we were asked to choose the thing we loved most and draw a self-portrait showing that. My two loves at the time were comics and basketball. So I combined the two, by doing a sort of reflective image of myself growing up with basketball. And for the comic book aspect, I drew it in that style.
