Mrs. Johnson had a hard time getting her son Mikey to grasp simple second grade mathematical concepts. She tried everything from tutors to Hooked on Math.'Well, one day she finally decided to pull Mikey out of the public school system and send him to a private Catholic school to see if that would help. Well, Mikey's first day at his new school came and went and as soon as he got home he went directly upstairs to his room and started his homework. Dinner time came and Mikey came downstairs, ate, and went back up to his room and started studying once again. This continued on for several weeks and Mrs. Johnson was dumbfounded about how much Mikey had changed. One day her curiosity finally got the best of her and she stopped Mikey and asked him: "Son, it is amazing how much you have changed since you started at the new school. What is it that made you change? Is it the nuns? Is it the dress code? Is it the smaller class size?" Mikey then tells his mother: "No mom. It's none of those things. I just got seared." His mother looks at him with a confused face and asks: "What in the world scared you?" Mikey answers: "Well, when I walked in the first day and saw that guy nailed to the plus sign I knew they were serious!"
